Food was absolutely outstanding. Ambiance was very nice, but the service was atrociously lack-luster. Our party of 4 came at around 6:30 on a weekday and the place was almost empty. There were several servers milling about talking to themselves and after seating us, almost completely ignoring us. Bread and water was served pretty quickly but we had to flag down several waiters before we could order anything, and it was almost like we were bothering them. Eventually the place started to fill up, but there seemed to be plenty of waiters. Between us we had sautéed shrimp, Shepherd's salad, fried liver cubes, St. Peter's fish, cold appetizer platter and chicken kabobs, and a soup. Everything was outstanding. Probably the best I ever had there. But any time we tried to order anything or ask anything it was like an ordeal, and they were RIGHT THERE (the place is not too big). Finally, I ordered a Turkish coffee, which I usually love, and is generally brewed with sugar, or they ask if you want it that way. They did not ask and there was no sugar, and when I asked about it when served the server just walked away and looked annoyed. Also the coffee was sub-par that day. Bottom line, would I go back? Yes! I just wish the servers would get some hospitality training.

Came here today after pickleball, it came highly recommended by the two people I came with and it did not disappoint. I think this might have been my second or third time having Turkish food so I wasn't sure what to expect. The eggplant spread with their bread was delicious, the eggplant had a smoky taste and wasn't too salty. Salad was refreshing and delicious especially in the nyc summer and the portions are huge. These are definitely family sized portions the scallop and rice fed three people with left over! Waiter was attentive if I had to really deduct a star it would be the tap water was really bad... and I grew up drinking nyc tap water too... but this was a little TOO tap. I don't drink soda so my options were limited.

For my money, the best Turkish food in NYC and has been for a long time. Usually get a shepherd's salad and a few appetizers. Their eggplant in spicy tomato sauce is one of the best things I've ever eaten of any cuisine. Highly recommended.

After eight years, I stopped by again, reminded of my previous review on Yelp. So much has changed for me in that time, but I'm thrilled to say their food is still consistently delicious! The service is superb, and the food remains amazing. The tenderness of the meats, the seasoning in the hummus, spicy eggplant, salad, and the hot bread are all exceptional. Their in-house white sauce is fantastic! While I still noticed a slight lag in service, it has definitely improved, even on a busy day with families celebrating graduations. We enjoyed everything--the wine, sparkling water, food, and the warm hospitality from the very humble and generous waiters. Keep up the amazing work, everyone!

I always will recommend Tacis over any Turkish restaurant in Brooklyn. We placed an order for 18 plates of food today for staff and the food was ready in less than an hour (it was lunch time) and tasted amazing as always. The young man was very helpful and even put in a few tasty baklava desserts that were also fresh! I didn't even see him put it in the bag so it was a very sweet surprise. More than half the people never had Turkish food and they loved it, and one person said "Wow I always eat Turkish on Emmons and this is SO MUCH BETTER".... Turkish on Emmons isn't authentic let's be serious. If you want a taste of Turkey... this is the place to go!

Sağol, sevgilim. (I apologize, if it's with the mistake!) Thank you! It was a delicious dinner! I gave the tips of $20 to the little delivery boy tonight, it has reminded of black & white video by Tarkan ("Simarik"). *Smiling*.

First time ordering delivery from here. Food was good. The chicken kabob was delicious and flavorful. The Baklava was perfect! The chicken doner sandwich was okay. Would definitely try other dishes from here.
